As an epicenter of Muslim culture, Chicago is known in many circles as “Chicago Shareef”, perhaps due to its conservatism, zabiha food, and Islamic institutions. The Chicago Shareef Podcast seeks to shed light on our unique Chicago Muslim experience by interviewing individuals, leaders, and professionals who can provide a unique perspective on our community. As Chicago Muslims, we enjoy discussing topics of education, politics, culture, history and trends that are unique to Chicagoans within our friend circles.
We wanted to take our late-night conversations to the next level and go to the source to ask our guests questions such as, “Should I send my kids to public or private school?”, “When did Italian Express Start?”, and “What are the biggest mental health issues facing the Chicago community?”.
We look forward to learning about our community and invite you on this journey to discover what really makes Chicago, shareef.
